Don't forget to check the mail.......

I have completely spaced to check the mail all week long. The results for the oral test come by letter and i figured that his paper says 2 to 3 weeks so why do i need to rush to the mailbox everyday and amp up the anxiety. So i just kept myself super busy this week so the time could pass. Well today I went to the mailbox to find alot of ads and junk mail but hidden inside there was the letter with a return address of the police department. My heart dropped and i got so nervous. My mailbox is really close to my house but it felt like the longest drive back home. I couldnt wait to get in the house and have colin open it even though i was sooooo scared. I didn't want it to ruin our perfect sunday and have a cranky husband all through church. i also didn't want to be the sad wife. I kept playing it through my head of what i would say if he didn't pass and i couldn't really think of much, probably because HE PASSED!!!!!.I am so proud of him!! He really wants this and now he is waiting for a phone call to schedule the background portion. This is the part that is going to take forever. Luckily though it should be faster than normal. they are speeding through this process like no other because they need cops so bad. so hopefully not too long. It would be great to hear something by christmas as that would make the best gift ever for me to know i can just be a mom, but that is really high hopes so we hope to know something as soon as possible. They told Colin if he passed everything he will start the academy is February. That will mark 2 years from my shoulder injury. Which was a huge blessing in disguise because that is when colin realized how important it is for me to beable to stay home. He has been really trying to make enough money for me to do that. So I just wanted to also say I have alot to be thankful for at this thanksgiving week!
